"24.7" will be shown again on the big screen on Sunday, November 8th at 2pm at the Palace Theatre in Vinton. Admission is a FREE WILL DONATION, with all proceeds going to the Benton County Disaster Recovery Coalition. Doors open at 1:00 with NO RESERVED or ONLINE SEATING. We will be selling T shirts and DVD's at Clearance sale prices, just in time for the Holidays. Watch for posters around town and ads in the local publications.

About "24.7"
Produced by Vinton resident, Brian Larkin, "24.7" is the only film that focuses on the impact that the historic Flood of 2008 had on Vinton, Iowa and the surrounding areas. Featuring interviews with many local residents and officials, the film is about 90 minutes in length and chronicles the struggle, recovery and the will of the human spirit to triumph in times of adversity. The film also features a musical score by local talent, Mark Hancock.

About The Filmmakers
Brian Larkin is a familiar face in the Vinton area. After a ten year career in real estate, Brian went back to his roots in the television broadcast industry as a freelance videographer, lighting technician, writer and producer. He also has appeared in front of the camera in numerous corporate training videos and on stage in many ACT 1 productions.
Brian remains active in the Vinton community as a member of the Lions club, Knights of Columbus, Vinton trails committee, Party in the Park committee, Vinton Unlimited, Vinton-Shellsburg Special Olympics coach, and as a board member of the Hawkeye Area Down Syndrome Association.
Kirk Monson is an award-winning film and video producer, editor and videographer with more than 20 years in the business. His portfolio includes thousands of TV spots, corporate videos and documentaries. Kirk is the founder and partner of MVP Visual Media Solutions in Cedar Rapids.
Kirk and his family, former residents of Vinton, stay active in the community through their membership at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Act I of Benton County.
Kirk and Brian have collaborated on several projects over the past few years, but they both consider “24.7” to be one of their most significant pieces.
